Break-in

The first 1,000 miles are the break-in period. Use conventional oil only, change the oil and filter at 500 miles, vary your RPM, and avoid towing, heavy loads and long idling. Check your oil level regularly, since some oil burn-off is normal until the rings seat. Following the break-in procedure is required to keep your warranty.

Warranty and core

Warranty: every engine includes a 1-year unlimited-mile warranty at no extra cost; the standard warranty does not cover labor. You can upgrade to our 3-year unlimited-mile extended warranty for $1,500, which adds labor coverage at a flat $50/hour when the repair is done at Phoenix Engine Specialists or an approved facility.
