This Privacy Policy explains how Phoenix Engine Specialist LLC, doing business as Phoenix Engine Specialists ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit phxenginespecialist.com (the "Site"), buy from us, or contact us by phone, email, text or chat.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us:
- Contact and order details: your name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address.
- Delivery details: the delivery type you choose (dock/commercial, lift gate or residential), delivery notes, and any information we need to schedule a freight delivery.
- Vehicle and engine details: things like your year, make, model, engine, VIN, or photos you send us so we can confirm fitment or handle a warranty claim.
- Messages: what you send us through our contact form, live chat, email, phone calls or text messages.
- Account details: if you create a customer account, your login and order history.
- Newsletter signup: your email address, if you sign up for new engine listings and shop updates.

Payment information:
When you pay, your card or wallet details go straight to our payment processors (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay). We do not see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically:
When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect device and usage information through cookies, pixels and similar tools. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, general location (based on IP address), pages and products you view, searches, the website that referred you, and actions like adding to cart or buying.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use personal information to:
- Process and fulfill your order, including payment, freight shipping and delivery scheduling.
- Send order confirmations, invoices, shipping updates and delivery coordination by email, phone or text.
- Answer your questions, confirm fitment, and handle returns, refunds and warranty claims.
- Prevent fraud and keep the Site and our checkout secure.
- Run, maintain and improve the Site and understand how visitors use it.
- Send marketing emails if you signed up for them or agreed to them at checkout.
- Show you ads for our products on other websites and platforms, and measure how well our ads work.
- Meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and protect our rights.

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not rent your personal information to anyone. We share it only as described below.

Service providers that help us run our business:
- Shopify, which hosts our store, checkout, customer accounts, live chat (Shopify Inbox) and marketing emails (Shopify Messaging). Shopify's privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy
- Payment processors, to process your payment and help prevent fraud.
- Freight carriers and logistics companies, which receive your name, delivery address, phone number and delivery instructions so they can deliver your engine and schedule the delivery with you.
- Google, which provides reCAPTCHA spam protection on our forms.
- App providers we use on the Site, such as Selleasy (product add-on and upsell offers).
- Our accountant, attorneys and other professional advisors, when needed.

Analytics and advertising partners:
- Google: we use the Google & YouTube sales channel and Google tags to measure Site traffic and purchases, list our products on Google, and show and measure ads. This may include sending Google information about your purchases and, in some cases, your email address or phone number in a protected (hashed) form to measure ad results. - Shopify Audiences: we use Shopify Audiences to help show our ads to people who may be interested in our products. Through Shopify Audiences, information about your use of the Site, your purchases and the email address tied to your purchase may be shared with Shopify and used by other Shopify merchants to show you offers.

Sales channels:
If you buy from us through the Shop app or another Shopify sales channel, that channel also handles your information under its own privacy policy.

Legal reasons and business changes:
We may share information if the law requires it, to respond to a subpoena or other lawful request, to protect our rights or safety or those of others, or as part of a sale, merger or transfer of our business.

5. COOKIES AND TRACKING

We use cookies and similar tools to:
- Make the Site and checkout work (for example, your cart and login). These are required.
- Understand how people use the Site (analytics).
- Show and measure ads (advertising).

Do Not Track: There is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, so we do not respond to them. See Section 9 for Global Privacy Control.

6. MARKETING EMAILS AND TEXT MESSAGES

Email: We only send marketing emails, such as new engine listings and shop updates, if you signed up through our newsletter form or agreed at checkout. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by contacting us. We will still send you messages about your orders even if you unsubscribe from marketing.

Text messages: If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your order, delivery scheduling, fitment questions or warranty claims. We do not send marketing text messages.

7. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

We keep order, payment and warranty records for at least 7 years after the sale or the end of the warranty, whichever is later, so we can fulfill your order, honor your warranty, handle returns and disputes, and meet tax and accounting requirements. We keep marketing information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

Our store and checkout run on Shopify, which encrypts payment information and meets PCI DSS payment security standards. We limit who can access customer information to the people who need it to do their jobs. No website or method of storing data is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you think your information has been compromised, please contact us right away.

9. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we have about you, and get a copy of it.
- Correct personal information that is wrong.
- Delete your personal information, except what we must keep for legal, tax, warranty or fraud-prevention reasons.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, or its use for targeted advertising.
- Not be treated differently for using any of these rights.

Residents of California and several other states, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others with similar laws, may have some or all of these rights.

Opting out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising: Some states treat our use of advertising tools, like Google ads and Shopify Audiences, as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as "targeted advertising." To opt out, use the "Your privacy choices" link in the footer of our Site, or contact us using the information in Section 1. Where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as an opt-out request.

Categories of information that may be sold or shared for advertising: identifiers (such as email address, IP address and device or cookie IDs), commercial information (such as products viewed and purchased), and internet activity (such as how you use the Site). We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

How to make a request: Email us or call us using the information in Section 1. To protect your information, we may need to confirm your identity before we act on your request, for example by matching your name, email and order details. You can have an authorized agent make a request for you, but we may ask for proof that you authorized them. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will review it.

10. CHILDREN

Our Site and products are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. WHERE WE OPERATE

We are based in the United States and sell to customers in the United States. Your information is processed and stored in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a big change, we may also let you know by email or with a notice on the Site.
