New Ford crankshaft with the crank gear TIG-welded in place, replacing the crankshaft in your remanufactured long block. The factory crank gear is shrink-fit with no key, pin or dowel, so it can slip on the crankshaft and throw off cam timing (often showing as a P0016 cam/crank correlation code), which can lead to major engine damage. Welding the gear to the new crankshaft keeps it from slipping. Fits the 2011-2019 Ford F-250/F-350/F-450 pickup and F-350/F-450/F-550 cab and chassis 6.7L Power Stroke. Add-on for our remanufactured 6.7L Power Stroke long block; installed in the engine before shipping only (it replaces the crankshaft during the build).
